Had an early morning mission with this young bloke a few weeks back. Great to finally have Callum out on the water. Stray-line session at 10m produced nothing much so off to a local mussel farm and got a bin full of these bad boys. Cool to finally have a fish with you m8 (nxt mission off the bricks?)
"Road trip"...This is our base for the next few days
On our recent trip to Wanganui we had an excited meeting with this... What an amazing opportunity to view, and such a special treat for us. This is a heat-treated Nephrite (Pounamu) fishing sinker. It is Pre-European contact. Possibly between 300-800 yrs old. It was found on the Kapiti Coast in Mana approx 65yrs ago. What a precious piece of fishing history. Thanks for the history Lisa,and a big thanks to Tony for sharing with us.
